The Institute for Informatics at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) is proud to announce that Dr. Dimitris Tzionas has been awarded a prestigious ERC Starting Grant. This grant will enable him to conduct groundbreaking research in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics.
The ERC Starting Grant, awarded by the European Research Council (ERC), is designed to support talented early-career researchers. It allows them to establish their own research line and work on innovative projects with significant impact.
Dr. Tzionas’ project focuses on developing advanced algorithms and models for interaction between robots and complex environments. By leveraging state-of-the-art technologies in computer vision and machine learning, his research will contribute to the development of robots that can better handle unstructured and dynamic environments.
